Barbara Dunsheath: Vigilantly protects tax dollars from waste.  Community Colleges yield the community $5 for every $1 spent.

Maintained balanced budget.  North Orange County CCD has earned an A rating for fiscal stability

Facilities like Cypress College STEM and Veterans’ Buildings are used to enhance student success and serve the community.

Strong oversight for Measure J dollars.

S & P Global Ratings assigned North Orange County Community College District an AA+ rating. The rating as of August 15, 2022 notes that NOCCCD has “Good financial management policies and practices, including budget assumptions and long-term financial planning

Degrees awarded by Fullerton and Cypress College increased 43% over my term. 1,840 strong workforce completers (annual).

Cypress College one of only 15 Californian community colleges offering Baccalaureate degree in Mortuary Science.

Award winning Career Technical Programs including:

  • #1 rated Radiologic Technology program in the nation
  • CA Gold Star Dental Hygiene program
  • CA Silver Star diagnostic Medical Sonography and Psychiatric Technology programs
  • National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense
  • North Orange Continuing Education – California Apprenticeship Initiative, Computer Network Specialist.

Barbara Dunsheath supports North Orange Continuing Education Center serving 78,458 students (2020/21). A model non-credit higher educational school serving our county.

Programs include:

  • Disability Support Services
  • English as a Second Language
  • Lifeskills Education Advancement Program
